Some words about peace in Kenya
Dear maisha helper.. As a patriotic, peace loving and deeply concerned Kenyan, I wish to contribute to this growing chorus of peace to all Kenyans to maintain calm and give peace and dialogue a chance.
I am deeply perturbed by the growing level of violence, uncalled for deaths and injuries, wanton destruction of property, public unrest, children suffering and the general insecurity that if unchecked will reach a catastrophic level-a situation no one is prepared for.
Dear Kenyans, I wish to recruit you to voluntarily be an agent of peace by adhering the following:
- Appreciate the fact that you had only one vote and you did your best.
- Regardless of the outcome of the elections, we MUST still co-exist with each other atmosphere conductive enough for all to live and work in peacefully.
- We MUST deliberately and at all cost tone down on our Tribal Chauvinism and that no tribe is more superior than the other.
- Hate speech against other tribes should be condemned by all, we all need each other.
- Lets all think and act positively to alleviate the suffering of the unfortunate victims rendered homeless with no food, clothes and basic supplies. Assist with what God has blessed you with regardless of the victims ethnic background.
- We must all make a solemn vow that none shall raise a hand against another Kenyan and that we shall all dwell in unity, peace and liberty, plenty of peace be found within our boarders.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!
