the maisha home |
Since the beginning of 2009, maisha has been rescuing orphans from the slums and moving them into the maisha home where all their basic needs are met. Maisha is more than just a home, it is a family where the children can find love!
Maisha is proud to announce that the first children moved into the maisha home in January 2009.
Twenty two sponsored children have now been taken out of the slums and are living in the maisha home, the house of Susan Wangare, where they are being housed, fed and cared for. In the near future, we plan to build a proper home just next to Susan's house which will be specifically designed with the childrens' needs in mind.
They are attending the Gituamba Primary School which is located close to the maisha home.
