Thank you for visiting our site.
We would like to introduce you to maisha: the word maisha means "life" in Swahili, the official language of Kenya. The idea of maisha was initiated in April 2007 in Bern (Switzerland) by a young couple who wanted to do something to help and support poor children in Kenya.
The purpose of maisha is to give life, hope and a future to the unfortunate of this world through various projects. Maisha is
making a difference in the life of orphans from the slums of Nairobi, by giving them a home, food, clothes, an education, but most of all a family where they can find love.
On the 2nd of November 2007, maisha became an official association according to Swiss law.
