Dear visitor, Thank you for visiting our site. We would like to introduce you to maisha: the word maisha means "life" in Swahili, the official language of Kenya. The idea of maisha was initiated in April 2007 in Bern (Switzerland) by a young couple who wanted to do something to help and support poor children in Kenya. The purpose of maisha is to give life, hope and a future to the unfortunate of this world through various projects. Maisha is making a difference in the life of orphans from the slums of Nairobi, by giving them a home, food, clothes, an education, but most of all a family where they can find love. On the 2nd of November 2007, maisha became an official association according to Swiss law. Browse this site to learn more about the maisha home, the founders and how you can contribute to maisha.
