Agnes was born in August 1996 and is the oldest of all the maisha kids. Her father
died of Aids and her mother is now suffering from the same disease and is unable to look after her children. She moved into the maisha home in October 2009 with her little sister, Mary.

Agnes takes her role as the oldest child in the house very seriously. She is very mature for her age, works hard around the house without ever complaining.
Agnes would like to be a nurse when she grows up. She is currently in class 8 of the nearby Gituamba Primary School.
