Grace is the youngest child in a family of 3 and was born in 2002. Her mother died of Aids in 2008 and her father is now in the terminal stages of the same disease. Grace moved into the maisha home in December 2009 along with her older brother and sister, John and Elizabeth.

Grace has been deeply affected by her family’s situation and for the moment is very reserved and likes to be alone a lot. At the same time, she loves having attention from “Mama Simba” and obviously craves affection.

Grace had no education before she came to maisha, so is now attending school for the first time. She is currently in class 3 with children younger than herself, but we hope she will quickly progress.
