Andrew Ouma |
|
2010 Andrew was born in 2001. Both of his parents and one of his brothers have died of AIDS. Up until now, he was living with a guardian in very poor conditions where food was scarce and was unable to attend school because they could not afford to pay the fees. His guardian asked maisha to have custody of him so that he could have a better life. Given the very poor state of this family, maisha accepted to allow Andrew to join his older brother, Crispin, in the home and he moved in in December 2009. He is currently in class 3 of the nearby Gituamba Primary School.
Andrew loves reading and singing in the church choir. He wants to be a Policeman when he grows up so that he can protect people from thieves and his dream would be to one day build a big, beautiful house for his guardian. Maisha hopes that by giving him an education and decent living conditions that he will one day be able to achieve this. Andrew is a very jovial and charming boy. |
